Dr. Iro Aghedo (Asst. Dean Social Sciences)

Dr. Iro Aghedo is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political Science, University of Benin, Nigeria. He was educated at the Universities of Ibadan and Benin in Nigeria, and at the College of North-West London and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London in the UK. He has published widely in flagship and peer-reviewed journals including Third World Quarterly, Black Studies, and the Review of African Political Economy among others. In addition, he has worked as research consultant to Chatham House, Overseas Development Institute, European Union, and International Organization for Migration among others. He is currently the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences
